01 / THE DETAILS
A licence is a starting point, not a guarantee
Find the legal company name, licence number and regulator in the casino’s footer or terms. Where the regulator offers a public register, check that the record matches the company and domain you are using. A licence logo on its own is not verification.
An overseas licence is not equivalent to a UK Gambling Commission licence. Operators offering gambling to consumers in Great Britain require the appropriate UK licence; a site accepting your registration does not establish that it is authorised to serve you. Player protections and complaint routes can differ significantly.

Read the cashier as carefully as the games
Compare minimum withdrawals, per-transaction and monthly limits, processing windows and any fees. Separate the casino’s internal review time from the time a bank or payment network needs to deliver the funds.
Ask what documents may be required and whether the withdrawal method must match your deposit method. ‘No KYC’ marketing does not mean a site can never request identity, address or source-of-funds information.
- Can you withdraw your own deposit without accepting a bonus?
- Is there a cap on winnings or a monthly payout ceiling?
- Where is the complaints procedure published?

Game choice is not the same as game quality
A large game count can include many variations of the same title. Look for named providers and game-specific rules. Where a return-to-player figure is published, remember it is a long-run theoretical measure, not a prediction for your session.
Check whether the exact version of a game is restricted by bonus terms. A title appearing in the lobby does not mean it contributes fully to wagering or is eligible while a promotion is active.

Make the decision before making a deposit
Keep a copy of the terms you relied on and clarify ambiguous rules in writing. If the operator cannot explain a fee, a withdrawal limit or its licence status clearly, that uncertainty is a reason not to proceed.
If you have joined GamStop or another exclusion scheme, do not use a casino outside that scheme as a workaround. An exclusion is a protective boundary, not an obstacle to overcome.
Common questions
Does a high score mean a casino is risk-free?
No. An editorial score cannot guarantee payment, regulatory compliance or suitability for an individual. Read the underlying evidence and current terms.
Are the homepage offers guaranteed to be current?
No. Offers and eligibility can change. Confirm the amount, restrictions and full terms on the operator’s site before making any decision.
